1. I registered by mail, and my registration is late. What should I do?

Once you mail us your registration check or money order, it should take about 7-10 days for us to receive, process and return your registration number to you--if you provided us with a valid email address. If we are returning your registration number to you through the regular mail, you should allow an additional 5-7 days.

Outside the US: If you are mailing your registration to us from outside the US, please allow 2-3 weeks for processing if you have provided us with an e-mail address. If no email address is provided, please allow another 5-7 days.

If your order has taken longer than 2 weeks, then send us an email so we can check the status of your order.

2. I lost my registration number. What should I do?

Your registration number will be in our database, so email us and we will send you your registration number.

3. The key on my browser does not lock. Is my order secure?

Yes, the key will not lock because we are using frames. However, our order form pages do reside on a secure server. The lock is just an assurance to customers. It all has to do with where the page resides and where the information is sent, which is viewable in the document source. If you view the source you can see that all information is submitted via https, a secure server.

However, we are working on a page that will display in a separate browser window and therefore display the key as locked.

4. If I order on-line, how long will it take to receive my registration?

Your on-line orders are processed in real time. This means that you will receive your registration within minutes after your order has been processed. Exceptions: (1) your order provided us with an invalid email address, (2) your mail server was down at the time we emailed you your registration, (3) our mail server was down.

In most cases, the main reason you will not receive your email registration in real time is because you have provided us with an invalid email address.

5. Your on-line order form will not load. Why not?

If our order form does not load, then your browser does not support secure web transactions. In order to use our on-line ordering system you will need to download and install a secure Web browser, like Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

6. Your on-line order rejected my email address. Why?

This probably means you are using a restricted email address. For security reasons, we do not process on-line orders for email addresses using the following domain names: usa.net, hotmail.com, rocketmail.com, juno.com, yahoo.com, netaddress.usa.net, mailexcite.com, netforward.com, email4life.com, netscape.net and iname.com. If you have an email address using one of these domain names then you will have to use another email address to register on-line.

7. I registered on-line over 48 hours ago. What should I do?

This could mean a number of things. First, you may have provided us with an invalid email address, which means we are unable to send you your registration. Second, it could mean that your server or ours was down during the last 48 hours. In either case, email us so we can check on the status of your order.

8. What information do we collect and how do we use it?

When you place an order with us we collect your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your orders, and to notify you by email that your order has been processed. All this information remains confidential. All data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

9. Do we use "cookies" in our ordering process?

Yes. "Cookies" are small, encrypted pieces of information stored by your browser on your hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information. They simply enable us to provide special features such as the ability maintain a customer's shopping cart while they move from one page to another.

The use of cookies is standard practice in internet commerce. They are supported by all major browsers. Customers can not shop at many other on-line stores if this feature is disabled in their browser.

10. Do you disclose the information you collect to outside parties?

No. BiOM Software is committed to protecting your privacy. We have never sold, traded or rented personal information to others.

11. Am I protected against fraudulent uses of my credit card?

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your customers' bank can not hold them liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. In the event of unauthorized use of their credit card, they must notify their credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

12. What makes it safe to shop at BiOM Software?

Our clearing house, RegSoft, uses secure server software (SSL), which is the industry standard and the best software available today for secure internet commerce transactions. DigiBuy encrypts all personal information including credit card number, name, and address, so it cannot be read as the information travels over the internet.

If a customer still feels uncomfortable using a credit card over the internet, they always have other options. They can use a credit card with a fax or phone order; fax us a purchase order; or order by personal check through postal mail.

13. What should I do if my user name and registration code is invalid?

If you see a message that your user name and registration code were not accepted, please do the following:
1. Make sure that you pasted no leading or trailing spaces with the user name or registration code fields.
2. Switch your keyboard to English language before pasting or typing in these fields.
3. If the above doesn't help, please send us an E-mail.
